Time really flew after we got back from our two week break! Classes and projects are nearing to an end, so everything is in full swing now. I only have 2 papers to write plus my design project, so I'm still not feeling any stress, haha.
The week after I came back from break it took me a while to re-cover. I was seriously wiped out! I went to Lalandia with my host family and my friend Lizzy last weekend. It was a lot of fun! We got to go swimming, bowling, ice skating, and saw a movie. We stayed in a cute little A-frame house that they have there. Lizzy and I took the train there and back.
During the week I went to the AG Copenhagen hand ball match which was SO much fun! I helped to plan it with another student on the SAC committee and it went very well! I also had a very yummy american dinner with my buddy network for Thanksgiving at an american restaurant. I had fried chicken! So good!
I skyped home on Thanksgiving to say hello to everyone. It was fun talking to everyone! I'm excited to go home, but I still don't want to leave Europe, hahaha. The following day Lizzy and I left for London!
I LOVE London! It's the perfect mix of old and new. The first day there were walked around all the main touristy stops along the river. That night we saw Wicked which is probably one of the BEST plays I've seen in a very long time. The next day we walked around to see Harry Potter sites that were used in the films! We also stopped to get tickets to see Chicago because we found the half price ticket booths! So after touring HP stuff, we had dinner and went to see ANOTHER play! Chicago was sooooo gooood. The next day we went to see the changing of the guards which ended up being a flop. It was so packed you couldn't see much. Not to mention, the guard band was playing songs from Les Miserables and Star Trek. No lie. Totally killed it for me! So after that we went to Abbey Road and saw the studios and where the picture was taken from the Beatles album, which was pretty cool! At night we went to Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland/carnival and went on some rides and ate some food. It was really cute! The last day we went to the Tate Modern and Westminister Abbey. It was a great trip! Oh, we also stayed at a hostel which used to be a court house. So our rooms were prison cells, haha. And apparently the Clash were jailed there and went to court there so it's a hip place, haha.
So now I'm back! I have to write a paper for tomorrow, then the only thing left for the rest of the semester is just my design project which I'm almost done with! =) Win!
I really cannot believe it's almost time to go home though. I feel so much more relaxed and myself here. I love the idea that I can go anywhere in Europe whenever. I love being able to ride my bike anywhere. I love that everyone takes care of each other here. I guess I really have a whole new view of the states now, and it's going to be difficult to go back. =/ But I do miss my friends and family! And
