Bazinga! - as Sheldon would say, or just kidding =)
Denmark actually has hills, as I found out today. And it's definitely not boring at all! It's fannnnntastic. The food is too, so whoever keeps saying the food here is bland is obviously not getting a nice home cooked meal!!!
So this weekend I'm staying with my host family at my host dad's mom's house in Jylland. Last night we stayed in, had delicious apple cakes and cookies, then watched the dancing show on tv. This morning we went to visit their family farm which is now a mink farm and had a yummy breakfast there. I've never seen mink before, they're so cute! I'm not sure how I feel about farming animals to make fur, but it was still really interesting to see. They also had horses who were adorable! I got to pet them for a bit. Oh, and their dog is the sweetest thing! She reminded me of my dog Molly alot =) Jacob got to ride around on the tractors and I got to go for a ride in an American pick-up! Just like home, right? Haha.
While Jacob slept, Helle, Christian's mom and I went out shopping for a bit. Then we had some more cake and such. In the afternoon, Helle, Christian, and I went for a walk near a resort in the woods. It was a really nice area to walk around and the leaves are starting to change so there was a beautiful view. After that they showed me a few of the houses that Christian's dad's company built in the area. Then we stopped at the church where they got married and Christian's dad is buried. The grave yards here are a hundred times nicer than in the U.S., it's kind of a shame that they aren't nicer at home.
We had a delicious dinner of beef, potatoes, and vegetables! It was soooooooooooo good. Then we had a yogurt and fruit dish similar to the ones I had in Germany. I have never been so full in my life! Everything is just so good, it's hard not to eat it all and eat a lot of it! Later we had waffles with ice cream and fruit. The waffles kept on coming! It was a nearly endless supply, but finally we finished them. I had a major food baby, haha. Now we're watching tv and I'm probably going to get to bed soon. I'm pretty tiered from eating so much and I have to rest my stomach for more good food tomorrow, haha.
Tomorrow we are going to visit more people and eat more good food, so another great day ahead!
